Invictus

What are your names and what instruments do you play? Jason Webber-Vocals Josh Webber-Bass Haydn Hoffman-Guitar Jason Kruse-Drums How did you come up with your band name? We were inspired by the poem “Invictus”; it is Latin for undefeated or unconquerable. .

Which venue in San Diego is your favorite and why?

Our favorite venues our Soma and House of Blues, Soma because it is a great all ages place, where a lot of people go regularly, and House of Blues because it is a really cool venue in a great location. 

In the next 5 yrs where do you each see the band?
Hopefully we will be on tour with Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers HeHe.  But seriously, we hope to be touring with some bigger bands, and still making music that will be nothing like people have ever heard.

Who are your favorite bands/biggest influences on the music you write?
Our biggest influences are Circa Survive, The Mars Volta, and Daft Punk.

How do you describe your sound?
It is kind of a mix between everything we listen to.  We try not to keep any of songs in a single genre.

How do you feel about the local San Diego music scene?
It is a great scene, all of the bands in San Diego are great musicians, and we enjoy playing with all of them.

What is the biggest thing about the band that you want to improve?
We would like to increase the size of our fan base.
