We caught up with Aimee of Scott and Aimee for a quick follow-up interview to their recent CD review.
(Interview via e-mail, June 2007)

San Diego Punk: How is Sitting in a Tree different than albums you’ve put out in the past with your
previous projects?

Aimee: Scott and Aimee is a duet..a first for both of us. And we had fun
making the music because we worked so easily together. Sometimes it's
hard to find a good match
creatively.

How’s the response been so far?

Aimee: They love us of course!!! Whoever "they" is...told me so.

Has participating in Scott and Aimee influenced the way you think about
or approach your other bands?  (For example, do you foresee elements of Scott and Aimee getting transfused
into other projects, or is participating in Scott and Aimee a way for you to experiment with new approaches you could’t use in other bands… Feel free to go off on tangents here…)

Aimee: Every record is different ...every song has a mind of it's own. Songs
come from experiences and feelings/thoughts ...those things are
constantly changing....so is the music.

Do you have any personal favorite tracks or parts of the album?

Aimee: We both love love songs. This must be love, Southern California kinda
love, and too F***ed up to be in love.

How would you describe Sitting in a Tree and what type of music fans do you think it appeals to?

Aimee: Anyone who likes honesty in their music.

What was the recording process like?

Aimee: When we're writing and recording we use each others strengths to move
the song to the next level. We're both perfectionists and hard
workers...but still had fun during the process.

What’s next for the band?

Aimee: We're both working on several other projects...but we love Scott and
Aimee and intend to do another album.

Thanks so much for your time!
