Just *4* Show

This is an interview I did in a chat room with Cody from Just *4* Show, so that explains why it looks the way it does and the LOLs and other internet stuff. This is actually the second interview i did with him because the first one we stopped in the middle because we realized that the chat room only kept so much of the interview (when we were half way done we realized that the begining was gone...). I am Joelombo and Cody is Strngout56...

Strngout56: im cody thompson, i play bass and lead sing in just 4 show
Strngout56: and i run the empire i like to call..sin city records
Joelombo: cool
Joelombo: so i think everyone out there is on the edge of their seat wanting to find out your favorite
Joelombo: animals and turn ons Strngout56: well..beaches at night are cool as hell. and sleek, slender girls...ohh baby
Strngout56: not the slobby gross ones...you know.
Joelombo: exactly
Joelombo: and as for the animals
Strngout56: and i know jay our drummer likle goats, dustin is vegan, jason hates all animals,
Strngout56: dogs are cool. as well as key west aligators.
Joelombo: cool.
Joelombo: Just *4* Show has a new album coming out...
Strngout56: yes. we are going to record soon. well..start..
Joelombo: with the new guitarist...
Strngout56: its not as harsh as "voices" its more emo punk core
Strngout56: yah..jason..*sigh*
Joelombo: how has jason changed just *4* show? are you happy to have him or miss david?
Strngout56: i talked to a guy named derek from g-7, and he wanted to hear it too.
Strngout56: he hasnt changed it that much yet.
Joelombo: yet?
Strngout56: i miss david ocassionally.
Strngout56: because me and him always fought. yeah. he hasnt done much yet
Strngout56: david and i were in bands since 6th grade..so..its kinda sad
Joelombo: i know who you feel, it sucks when someone like that leaves...
Strngout56: yah. it does. we miss him to and extent.
Joelombo: i would just like to state for the record now that i can't spell worth crap
Strngout56: niether can i.

Joelombo: so you said the new stuff is more emo-core than Voices of Teenage Angst?
Strngout56: i just tried to spell hey whats up?
Joelombo: lol
Strngout56: yes it is.
Joelombo: if you had to say you sounded like a band, what band would it be...
Strngout56: its not as in your face hard...its emo core punk rawk
Joelombo: like the Get Up Kids?
Strngout56: a mix between atw getup kids, boy sets fire, and ataris i guess....i dont know
Joelombo: yeah, its a hard question
Strngout56: yah thats a difficult one.
Joelombo: well why don't you just tell me your musical influences...
Strngout56: alot of local stuff, getup kids, propagandhi, afi, boy sets fire,
Strngout56: jay loves the ataris and nufan,(as do i..)
Strngout56: dustin loves the aquabats, and nerf herder, and hot water music, and that emo stuff.
Strngout56: jaons likes everything from blink to santana.
Strngout56: jason i mean

Joelombo: so what do you think of the whole san diego punk scene right now?
Strngout56: its going down the tubes man!
Strngout56: we need to shakes hands, and be friends.
Joelombo: what's going wrong, and how can we fix it?
Joelombo: unite
Strngout56: stop the fighting and unite, and have fun and be friends.
Joelombo: yeah
Joelombo: do you think it can bounce back?
Strngout56: cause there are alot of good bands. and we need to unite.
Strngout56: yah, if we all try hard enough.
Strngout56: im sure we could.
Joelombo: okay, going back to just 4 show...
Strngout56: ok.
Joelombo: how long have you guys been around?
Strngout56: well, david and i played in bands since 6th grade.
Strngout56: i started this band 3 years ago.
Joelombo: cool
Strngout56: but we were in bands for ever before this one. and we had
Strngout56: alot of different names befiore j4s too.
Joelombo: okay, now for the favorites...
Strngout56: yuip....
Joelombo: band to play with, song to play, and place to play?
Strngout56: band to play with, as in that we already have?
Joelombo: i guess
Strngout56: we like playing a song of ours called convince yourself. and i
Joelombo: or who you would want to play with
Strngout56: love to play the song american dream anmonsgt otheres that are fun.
Strngout56: i dream of playing with less than jake at least once. then ill quit the band.. ahaa
Joelombo: ltj rocks...
Strngout56: its was really fun when we played with atw, notice, gimp, and co-ed. that was a great show
Joelombo: when was that?
Strngout56: id have to say those bands. probably.
Strngout56: a while ago. i used to play guitar when j4s first started. and we
Strngout56: kicked out or bass player, and it was our fist show with me on bass.
Strngout56: it was fucking great. it was at the library cafe,
Strngout56: sunday january 3rd, 1999.
Joelombo: cool
Strngout56: 23rd i mean..23rd
Strngout56: i have the flyer in my room still. it was a sold out show...yah.
Joelombo: wow! very cool
Strngout56: it was fun.
Joelombo: so why don't you tell me about your new record label
Strngout56: well, im trying to start it. its gonna be cheap and very indie.
Strngout56: a band called big deel is recording on it april 22nd.
Strngout56: itll be a release hopefully.
Joelombo: is it just a straight out punk label, or a hardcore, emo...?
Strngout56: they might just be cd-r's in cases though. like sunday drives new release.
Joelombo: CD-Rs work fine!
Joelombo: cheap and easy...
Strngout56: its all of those. i have a hardcore punk band, melodic bands,
Strngout56: hell yah..cheap and easy. thats my label all right.
Joelombo: cool
Strngout56: j*4*s's cd will not be cd-r. i assure you.
Joelombo: okay, thats good
Strngout56: that will be straight up columbia record style...(yah..hardee har har.)
Joelombo: alright do you have any closing comments?
Joelombo: cause those are all the questions i have
Joelombo: unless you have any you want to ask yourself...
