San Diego, CA 92103

M-Theory Music has three separate stores. The main (new) store is on the corner of 30th and Juniper, the annex (used vinyl/cds, used dvds, new t-shirts) is across the street and behind the Whitsle Stop from the main store at 2234 30th, and the third store is opening up on Washington Street in Mission Hills. M-Theory carries most genres, but specializes in indie, punk, rock, electronic, underground hip-hop, along with imports. They also have an excellent selection of local music as well as good selection of vinyl, hard to find imports, out of print, and domestic releases. There's also a DVD selection, both new and used. They get the "scene friendly" stamp with their frequent instores, listening parties, and midnight sales. Past instores have included Spiritualized, The Stills, Broken Social Scene, David J (Bauhaus) and over a couple hundred other bands since opening in 2001. Most of all, although M-Theory isn't big, you don't have to sort through a bunch of crap to find what you want. What they carry is the quality stuff you're looking for. Check it out. (News Update: M-Theory Records is now carrying sandiegopunk.com t-shirts at their Used Annex location on 2234 30ths, go there and buy some!)
