Getting to Mexico:
The majority of the shows we have listed are at the Voodoo House (Calle 8 #530 Zona Centro, Tijuana) so our directions direct you to there. If you plan on going somewhere else, methods for crossing the border remain the same, but you should obtain specific directions to where you are going ahead of time.

Passports/Identification:
US citizens do not need passports for day trips into Tijuana (if you plan on going further South or staying for an extended period of time, you should research to see if a passport will be required for your trip). However, it is a very good idea to have some sort of official identification (driver's license, passport, etc. If you don't have official ID, bring a school ID) with you. US Border Agents may not request identification on your return to the US, but carrying identification can help minimize the chance of any problems when crossing the border.

Driving to the border:
Personally, we recommend driving to border, parking, and walking across. The walk from your car the other side of the border is less than 10 minutes, and once on the other side it's very cheap to take a Taxi wherever you're going. In addition, walking across helps you avoid long waits at the border crossing station.
- Take I-5 or I-805 to the last US exit (there will be signs).
- Park your car on the US side of the border (there are plenty of lots, parking can be anywhere from $5 - $15)
- Follow the signs (or ask for directions) to walk across the border.
- Once you're in Mexico, you can grab a taxi. Ask the drive to take you to the Voodoo House, on 8th Street ("Calle Ocho", Hidalgo), it's next to the bus station and there's a huge sign. Make sure to arrange a fair with the driver ahead of time, it should be around $2 or $3, and should take about five minutes.

Public Transportation:
- You can take the trolley (blue line) to the San Ysidro Border Crossing. From there you can walk across the border as described above. If you plan on making a day trip into Tijuana, several of the parking lots on the US side of the border offer bus rides into Tijuana that drop you off in the Revolucion Ave area shopping district. You can start there, and take a taxi to Voodoo House when you finish shopping.

Driving into Mexico:
If you plan on driving across the border, we recommend you stop on the US side (at the last US exit) and buy Mexican auto insurance (there's plenty of places, just
look for the signs). While the drive to the Voodoo House from the border is only five minutes, you never know what can happen, and auto insurance for a day is fairly cheap (under $20). Here are some direction if you plan on driving:
- Take the 5 Freeway to The San Ysidro Border Crossing
- Stay in the far right lane when you cross the border (plan for up to an hour wait at the border!)
- Take the Zonario exit and stay in the right lane (Costco will be on your right side)
- Make a first right at the corner (Costco will still be on your right)
- Make a right on Blvd. Sanchez Taboada
- Make an Immediate Left on Calle 7 (Galeana)
- Make a Left on Ave Pio Pico
- Make a left on Calle 8 (Hidalgo)
- The Voodoo House is on the right side (there's a big sign, it's next to the bus station)
